My return came to a sudden stop just after entering British Columbia for the Yukon. My motor cycle broke miles from any repair facility. After attempting to get the bike somewhere where it could be even checked out I gave it up and sent my son on to complete our trip and I flew back to Texas.

Destruction Bay Yucan.
where the wind keeps blowing us off the road. Making for a tiring ride as we head south for the next the next 4000 miles. Still a many sights to see but it will be difficult to cap what already has been.
Sorry for the lack of pictu

Arctic Circle north from Fairbanks Alaska on the "Haul" road

We have just completed our successful ride to the Arctic Circle.
Travis and I actually have been wondering to ourselves if we would actually make here. We did! We really really did!
From her we head west to Denali in hopes of getting to see the mountain. Weather look favorable so cross you're fingers and wish us look.

After checking Univ. Alaska Fairbanks dorms for a 2 day stay we rode up 1.5 hours to a great hot spring. Soooooo refreshing. Almost fell asleep on the ride back. Now enjoying a great Italian dinner near the university. Tomorrow we make our run up the Haul road to the Arctic circle.

Miles upon miles of riding mostly dirt from Dawson YK to Tok Alaska. The views were beyond imagination .
And then in the middle of nowhere you come upon the US border station. It was like something out of the old TV show "Sgrt Preston and Yukon King.

Dawson City Yukon

We are in the old gold mining town of Dawson. We are just a few miles from entering Alaska but it maybe a few days before we make that run. Our original plan had us riding up the Dempster Highway, 250 miles of soft slick dirt and gravel. This was to be for our crossing of the Arctic circle for summer solstice .
Now for the real world. Our tires are gone and they not being changed until Fairbanks Alaska. We considered trying to find tires here but then we would not have tread life to get back to Texas. OH! What to do!
More tomorrow - stay tuned
