We dachten even het Louvre te bezoeken maar het was net dicht :-(

See the trip: Stef en Pascal te voet naar Santiago +-2500 KmWell, finally made it to Rome. Felt like we were never going to get here. The flight from Singapore to Paris seemed to go on forever! Then, found out just how big and complicated it was getting around Charles de Gaulle airport. We had to walk a mile or so from disembarking the plane, then catch a train to the other terminal, more walking, security, border station to finally get to the airline counter to find we had missed the connecting flight . Thank God they were able to put us on a plane 90 minutes or so later.
Then we got to Rome, and after collecting our bags we just walked out. Mum was like "what we just walk out?". It did seem a little low key after her being frisked by security in Paris after setting off alarms.
Have a dinner tonight with tour group and tour guide. Will sleep well tonight.
Take a dry sausage and fry it. Then slice up antipasti and fry it too. It's so good.

El tren que vamos a tomar a Madrid sale no de la estación Montparnasse sino de la de Austerlitz. Son más de quince horas de viaje, y ya no alcanzamos litera, solo asiento. El tren en que viajamos se anuncia como "trenhotel"; en ese caso, vamos a dormir en el lobby. Al menos son asientos "súperreclinables", así que va a ser como dormir en el avión.

¡Maldición! En Roma nos habían prevenido contra los niños "gitanos" que se acercan para quitarle el dinero a los turistas. Nos los hallamos antes de entrar a la catedral, recolectando donativos para niños sordomudos y, sintiéndome buen samaritano, saqué mis últimos billetes y se los llevaron. Ahora solo me quedan 2.90€ en monedas si necesito efectivo.

Después de una vuelta a la Conciergerie, volvemos a la salida del metro y caminamos al extremo opuesto de la isla. Ahora sí vamos en el camino correcto para ir a la catedral de Notre-Dame.

Hemos visto a la Gioconda, a la Victoria Alada y algunas otras obras de arte en el museo. ¿A dónde podremos ir ahora?

Nuestra cuarto de hotel incluye buffet de desayuno; resulta ser tipo continental: tenemos jugo, leche, café y cuatro tipos de panecillos diferentes para escoger. Después de desayunar tomamos el metro al museo del Louvre.

Después de dar una vuelta completa a la cuadra, Toño ubica el "bureaux de l'office de tourisme". Pedimos nos asistan para encontrar un hotel para quedarnos dos noches, y nos hacen una reservación. A diferencia de Barcelona o Roma, no hay ningún cargo por el trámite. C'est si bon!
