We arrived and checked into out rooms that are so cute. We have 3 beds in our room, 2 couches and even a fire place. Everyone liked our room so much so many people wanted to stay in a room. We had time to settle in then made the boys try and catch a calf. Instead they chased them away to the other end of the paddock. We then went to look for sheep to herd but even the ranch owners lost them. Instead we had dinner, played beer/vodka pong and flip cup till we had many funny photos to look at the next morning. The next day was mainly spent in doors as the heavens opened and it rained all day. We milked the cow, made bread, went horse ridding to see if 2 of us could find the missing sheep (we failed), then played mafia all day till dinner then got the bon fire going. We were taught what s'mores where (a melted marshmellow and chocolate squished between 2 biscuits).
The next day wasnt too eventful. We left the ranch for the city of Montevideo where we encountered a protest that meant our hotel looked like it was under police guard as they closed off the roads near the protest. Now i just lay in bed trying to get some rest toget over the cold that seems to be going through our group.

We went to check out one of the new wonders of the world and saw the amazing Iguassu Falls. First we checked out the Brazillian side of the falls and was amazing. The size was huge and so much water. We walked around for a bit then decided to check out our hotel and just relax. The next morning we went to check out the Argentinian side of the falls. And oh my god, I thought the Brazillian side was massive. This was even bigger. There were so many waterfalls and bigger. We got completley soaked as we walked so close to the falls then we went on a boat ride that pretty much took us under some of the falls and we looked like we had taken a shower. After a full day of walking around we actually got to take a shower before heading to a bbq. We had so much to eat, drink and danced till our feet hurt. It was an amazing night with lots of memories. Off to bed to prepare for a long day.
We woke the next morning to prepare for what took 22hours. We travelled trough 3 different countries in that time and finally arrived at a ranch in Urugay.
So our last day in Paraty has got to be one of the best days on the trip so far. Today we joined another tour group to do what they call The Caipirinha Boat which is pretty much a day sailing around to different beautiful spots to go swimming while having all you can drink caipirinhas (a popular alcoholic drink in Brazil). A big lunch was also provided. The weather was amazing and the water was beautiful. We jumped off the top of the boat into the water (just over one storey high) and ended up with water up the nose and into the sinuses and in the ears, and bathing suits pushed up by the force as you hit the water. Much of the day was pretty much relaxing as we swam out to different islands, lay on the boat, or floated in the water held up by multiple noodles. Sitting on the front of the boat, we all thought that this was what life should be about. The sun, the wind, the water, and the fresh air. We all got our turn at the front of the boat playing out the scene from Titanic as we watched the world go by. The day started to come to slow stop for me though when we reached our last stop as the tablets I had taken in the morning for my food poisoning were wearing off. I still managed to have fun sitting on the boat talking to friends and watching the multiple drunk people tripping over themselves. Was such an amazing day, one that I wil definately not forget.

It's pretty awesome how you get your clothes cleaned here. You bring your huge bag of dirties to a Lavadora. They sort, wash, dry, separate and fold your clothes in less than 24 hours and it costs about 5 dollars.

Apparently being a tall blue eyed-blonde is cause enough for being a target here. I've been attacked twice in 9 days. Once in Ciudad Vieja, once at the flea/farmer's market. Both on Sunday, in the middle of the day with plenty of people around. The first jerk ripped my bag right off my back (though I had nothing of major value in it), I chased after him and he caused an accident too; and the second was persistent and aggressive but I fought back hard and was adamant he was not going to get my purse. My scrapes and soul hurt a bit but I won't let it get me down especially since this is the beginning of a 6 month journey. My sense of awareness is heightened like never before and my skin feels a bit thicker.
Needless to say, Montevideo, (supposedly a safer city in the safest S. American country) is not getting my vote.
The best Engrish I've seen yet was on a guy's t-shirt yesterday. An image of a guy with a fro that read:

I got Rick-rolled in the Ta-Tas.
No. Really. Everytime I go to Ta-Ta, (a supermercado), MC Hammer is on and is promptly followed by yup, you know who.
