The start of the great travel blog! Well it probably won't be so great but it will be a lot of travel.
I thought it would be fun to catalog the many places I go and a good record for later when I write my book haha. Where better to start than a duty free store in an airport? The duty free at Changi airport in Singapore. Seems more familiar than home!

Penang: came here from melaka, and again spent a few days. Went to get a thai visa, then went to the gardens, stumvling through and Indian street party/market which was cool. Rode a motorbike around the island, and did a walk around Georgetown looking at the street art and such. Also ate way too much!

George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia at 9:58pm MYT.
Melaka : spent a few days here, and really enjoyed myself. The city is very cool. The chinatown area is filled with cool old shop houses, and lots have been converted to guesthouses and art galleries and the likes. Across the river is the old colonial area filled with churches and town halls and things. I spent my time walking and cycling around, then in the evenings my guesthouse had a dinner club so a bunch of people would go to different restaurants around town. It's a really funky place, apart from the damn mosquitoes!
