About 460 miles today. All of it secondary roads except for I-70 out Denver until we could pick US highway 40 at the Empire exit just past Idaho Springs and headed up over Berthoud pass at about 11,500 ft. We saw lots of switchbacks and pass crossings today most of the time above 7500 ft. Temps ranged from 52-88 degrees quite a range for motorcycle travel. We stopped in Steamboat Springs called "The Egg and I", we thought it looked more interesting than the Wendy's next door. We were right the food was fantastic. Again Spencer would not let me pay for the food as it was my birthday. Tomorrow is another day it will be my day to pay and Spencer will want to the day with steak and eggs and end with a Wagyu beef steak in Boise.
Tonight we sleep the sleep of the righteously tired old farts.
