Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Lisbon!

Only catch is that you have to be able to haul your bags up 4 stories - was quite tough for us on day 1 of trip but made it - phew!

Helena is a great host who showed us where everything was in the Hostel, the whole place is immaculate, very clean! Being up 4 floors means you get some good people watching on the balcony too!

Breakfast is toast or cereal (included) with tea/coffee etc.

Price for a private room (shared bathroom) = €15 pppn.

Yet again, my travelings begins at the capital. This time with an awesome activity which was a gift for Xmas 2013. A sushi workshop. Being my favorite kind of food I was really looking forward for this and had a quite good time going through the secrets and details of this Asian preciosity. The course took place at Estado Liquido restaurant and now.. i'm so looking forward to try by my own.

After landing into a surprisingly amazing purple Lisbon sky I had the first felling of Christmas on the airport with a huge xmas tree, then I went to the relatively new underground stop of the airport (early 2012) - I'm glad for the best traveler item I ever bought: the Kindle. It makes time fly in transportation and you get to be a weebit smarter with all the knowledge. It's a win win situation!
I've hit the most interesting area of Lisbon in my opinion which is the downtown (Baixa) where you can see Lisbon life at it's best. Had the entire morning so went for a walk around Rossio and the adjacent streets.. Rua Augusta, Ouro etc. where you can find some interesting shops for a island-person-without-much-variety-to-buy (disclosure: 1 pair of shoes + 3 trousers + 2 pairs of gloves + 1 hat). Also had the chance to see some of my favorite vitrines of Portuguese pastry which is a delight to the sight.
