This was the salmon ladder at Frazer Lake on Kodiak Island. All the salmon have to pass through the small opening on the right of the river to spawn so it's easy fishing for bears. Enjoy the bonus picture of bear poo, not very many people have seen it.
This is how they get autos on the ferry. It's kinda slow but fun to watch.

Another one of the great wonders of Kodiak Island is Millbay Coffee and Pastry. Their mountainous homemade sumptuous pies include strawberry rhubarb and apple cinnamon. Locally roasted coffee with fresh berry scones... Fantastic!!!

We met James Brown today! James is the real-life godson of the famous singer / performer James Brown. James has his own business here in Kodiak. He's a terrific guy! We'll post more about James later.
