Hey everyone. Due to travelling for the last 2 years and making everyone back home depressed with my constant facebook updates I have come to the conclusion that it is now time for me to spread my wings and detail my wildest and most boring adventures in a blog for anyone who may have the slightest interest in my life. I am a 22 year old girl from Scotland who is currently in Australia. I plan to keep you updated on my adventure as well as reminicing on past adventures in Mauritius, Greece and Tunisia. Zoe xx

Dan building our new home
With less than a month to build our new home, shore up the Jeep, pack, etc etc, Dan and I take turns freaking out and reassuring each other.
Our new home:
-start with Daniel's first ride, a 1987 Mitsubishi Mighty Max
-remove front end. Aka we destroyed a large squirrel and rat condominium by taking off the cab.
-next we searched for a camper shell. Found one for cheap, asked a friend to haul it up here for us, said friend had one we could have for FREE. Free is always > cheap :)
-we live 1 hour from most places for supplies, so we make a lot of lists. And yet still will have to go to the metal store twice in two days. Giant place, tons of dudes whipping around on forklifts, but they know us by the Ol' Subaru, if not by Daniel's odd sizing requests.
-we are doing the basic platform bed with storage underneath set up, but since Daniel is a welder, our platform will sit on square tube, which will divide up our storage areas.
-the current short term goal is to make it towable. Daniel is almost done fabricating the tongue!
I get in the way a little for done of this stuff (I need projects where he shows me what to do and says "do 5 more" or better yet, cleaning/scraping projects, bring 'em on!)
I'm waiting for the interior decorating & storage stage of the process to become Project Foreman. In the meantimehow lucky that I found HipGeo to start the chronicles of the build and trip!
The plan:
-once the home is done, we will be on the road again towing it behind Daniel's 1982 CJ7 Jamboree Edition.
-alllll the way to Illinois for a visit with my family, then a shorter jaunt up to our new job in Wisconsin! More on that later. . .

Here is our bus. The other guys left this morning and I will fly out to San Jose to meet them for the first show on Friday.

So I am going to try and photo my way through this tour with my band, Lillian Axe, using HipGeo. I'll take the pictures and HipGeo will provide time and place context and wrap it up into a nice chronological trip. For me, this is pretty much just an experiment but also maybe it will be something worth looking back on as well.....or to avoid depending on how things go. Perhaps some people might find this interesting. The tour doesn't start until June 15 but maybe something interesting will...
