When we drove through the first town of Colorado, we thought we saw thick weird clouds coming from the ground, only to find out later, it was a big forest fire. However, the city itself and the rest of the towns were still at its best. I find Denver, Colorado a charming place, full of adventure.

One has to walk this trail to get to the river where small bancas will take one to the underground river.

The Puerto Princesa Underground River is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world's longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.

En route to El Nido, we stopped by a sari-sari store to get some snacks and came across this bridge at the back.
The small fishing town of El Nido.

It took 6 hours by van to get to El Nido from Puerto Princesa. The roads were well paved except for the last one hour before we got to El Nido. Because the roads were still under construction, the ride was quite rough and bumpy.
