Today was a long day at work started at 9 as usual but we have a lot to prep for upcoming events this week. I spend the sponges that hold the center pieces for tables. The materials is green dry very fragile, eventually is soaked in water so it will keep the flowers fresh. You cut it dry but the particles fly and get in your eyes and is very uncomfortable and when it happens you have to rinse your eyes. So I had to prep many of them in different sizes. I was done by 7 pm and then Casey asked for volunteers to conduct the strike of an event at the Hyatt.
So the strikes happen at the end of the event and 2 employees go on site to retrieve the flowers, vases and any other material previously set for the event. So Baylee and I volunteered and went to the Hyatt at 9:30 to get our art pieces back. There were two huge arrangements at the entrance of the buffet and the hotel decided to keep the center pieces for a couple of days for decor.
We comeback home at 10:30 and left the arrangements in the van overnight, tomorrow we have to process all the flowers and select all the good ones for recycling. The can be re-used.

Ok, ghats all for tonight, I really have to go to bed because we have an earlier start at 8 am tomorrow.
