Bari, Apulia, Italy

The beautiful river Fiume sitting still beneath the bridges, and sparkling the reflection of the Vatican City.
Hey it's Vatican City! The 5th country we've visited thus far, it's been independent, even of Rome, for 83 years.
Inside St. Peter's Basilica- an extremely ancient building over the burial grounds of Peter. Not only the area where he was crucified upside down, but also where many other Christians and disciples were tortured. Now stands an amazing building.
551 steps later, we survived the workout, and the narrow, slanted stairs up to the top of the cupola of St. Peter's Basilica!
At the top! Great views of Rome and the Vatican City!
And the light thus shown upon me, from the heavens above the sacred Basilica of Saint Peter.
The Spanish Steps! Definitely the top hang out spot day and night. Under the sun to let some sweet gelato melt in your mouth, and under the stars to get under the influence.
Peach and pergatorio gelato- again, fantastic. Had some Chianti and white wine on the Spanish Steps- a very popular spot on Fridays at 10. Then a little detour, as my adventurous self wanted to try a new street. Since directions are always my job, we got
Illegal photos take in the Sistine Chapel! The famous fingers of God and Adam!
4 years and 5,000 square feet later, we have this gorgeous chapel. Thanks to Pope Julia II for admiring such a sculptor, because nobody but Michelangelo gets the credit for these pious paintings. No, he did not actually paint them upside down, but develop
The first morning, our host gave us lemoncello shots, and last night he cooked everyone some delicious pasta. Mona Lisa is a pretty hip hostel.
