We spent 13 hours on a plane and arrived in LA before we even left.
Had a friendly chat with the guy at customs who had an ascent like Elvis and talked about music. Caught the local bus to Santa Monica and stayed in a clean, though basic motel 5 mins from the beach. Walked along the beach to the pier and had the second worst coffee we've ever had.
We were very tired, had a nana nap and decided to stay awake until after dinner and try and get on the right side of the day ASAP.
We had lunch at a raw food cafe. Very healthy, though not all that yummy, not enough fat and salt. Did some op shopping and bought a very nice Italian jacket for $15.
We went to a bar for dinner that had dozens of beers on tap (Tim took a picture) and really good food. I had wild salmon and Tim had a burger. They even served corn chips and salsa for free as a starter that was freshly made and perfectly spiced. (yum)
Got to bed early, took a tablet and ended the longest Monday of our lives.
