I have been awake for one hour already do I decided to get my travel blog ready.
Martin picked me up at the airport yesterday and we drove directly to my temporary home or how he calls it the freelance house but I am going to start calling it the slave quarters.
This is the newest of 2 of the slave quarters and I mean new in terms of acquisition because the house may have been here for fifty years already. The town is Kalaheo which is part of a greater region called Poipu.
The house is cute a 3 bedrooms 3 bathroom home nestled in hill that offers a nice view of the ocean.
I happen to be the first resident of this house and I will be sharing it with to girls.
I was told I am the MAN of the house so I got the master suite which was very sweet! I can check one of my trip fears off the list because after all i'll get my privacy.
The house is spacious with nice living space and a big backyard which is the part I like the best because of the view. There is a big 49 in screen tv on the living room and one 17inch in each room which I helped unpack yesterday, I also put together the fans, 3 of them because there is not AC, the air flows from the back to the front of the house naturally, reminds me of my early life in South America.
After setting the amenities, Martin and I met Theresa, one of my future homies, she happens to have a long history with Martin and Steve that dates their "dancing queen" days. My other future homie is to arrive sometime soon.
Martin and Casey invited Theresa and I for dinner at a nice little Italian restaurant nearby to celebrate Martin's mother "Dina" birthday. We finished a little after 9pm so I was really dead man walking and craving bed more than I have in the longest time.
I realize this is really remote living, I can see lots of stars, the mountains the ocean and the roosters literally wake you up in the morning (much earlier than I desire) .
So far, my adventure has offered me a good start. Yet, I continue to miss my baby at home very much
I'll be going to the studio today at 9 am to experience my first day on the job!
Yet to come: pictures of the house, perhaps video if this app supports it.
Talk to you soon. And don't judge me, this is my first blog ever.
