We had lunch today at a really great restaurant called Semilla. It's pretty new and has excellent reviews. It's over in the Latin Quarter, just a short walk from our apartment. Oh, and it's delicious.

Île Saint-Louis at 9:22pm CEST in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
We then went on to the Pompidou Center and finally went back to the apartment for a dinner of crepes and cookies, all purchased on our street.
Then it was on to the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon and the church steps at St. Etienne du Mont, the church featured in Midnight in Paris.
Then we went on to the Cluny Museum, which covers the art of the Middle Ages. I enjoyed this place a lot. It's not a big museum, but I highly recommend it.

We had lunch at an amazing tiny restaurant in Ile St. Louis, called Le Relais en L'Isle. It is owned and run by Monsieur et Madame Hubert, and has been a fixture on the island for many years. On Sunday, May 20 it will close its doors forever, as the owners are retiring. I'm glad we got to experience the delicious food and the warm and friendly hospitality.
What a beautiful sunny spring day! Today we went shopping at la Place de la Madeleine. Megan got her cheesecake at la Rue St. Honore. We ate the cheesecake picnic style at La Place de la Concorde. Then it was on to L'Orangerie to see Monet's water lilies. This has to be my favorite museum on the planet. From there, we walked through Le Jardin des Tuileries. The gardens are in full bloom. So beautiful! We had Croques Madames for lunch at Le Bis. We ended the day's excursion at the Louvre. It was packed! We headed back to our wonderful apartment for a dinner of baguettes, fromage, saucisson, and macarons. Yum!!
Today was the sunniest, rainiest, coldest day imaginable. I love Paris in the springtime ... We had an amazing lunch at FL, saw the impressionists and post-impressionists at the Musee d'Orsay, visited the Army Museum and Napoleon's tomb at the Invalides, went to the Rodin Museum and wandered through the beautiful gardens, shopped on the Rue Cler, had a picnic at the Champs de Mars, and last but not least, we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Phew! My feet can tell you that we walked miles and miles. No pictures today ... They're all on Cal and Sarah's cameras. Good night!!
