In a victory of vanity over reason, I ran 3.5 m on a treadmill this morning.
Also, things I've learned today:
1. A single 3.5 m run does not make my pants fit any better (this is a little disappointing)
2. The two ophthalmology residents I tried to talk to yesterday while waiting for the bus are still just as snooty this is morning in the gym.
3. Do not set reminders on you phone for sessions before 10 am. It's great to be reminded of interesting presentations, but if you are still in your hotel room the buzzer just reminds you of all the stuff you're missing.
4. Here I was going to write something about how the shuttle isn't any better today, but shockingly it was waiting outside when I went to the stop and left in less than 5 min, hardly leaving me enough time to write down all these life changing observations.
Whew, and I haven't even gotten to the conference center yet.
